Country-pop duo Ward Thomas have announced a series of intimate and stripped-back live shows for Spring 2027.
The announcement comes whilst Ward Thomas are currently on tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of their landmark No. 1 album, Cartwheels, which was the first ever record by a UK country act to top the charts. Sisters Catherine and Lizzy also performed earlier this month at the Last Night of the Proms tribute to Dolly Parton.
Now for 2027 they will tour intimate venues across the UK performing a special acoustic set with stripped-back versions of songs from across their back catalogue putting their renowned harmonies, musicianship and songwriting front and centre. The duo will also share the stories and inspiration behind the music that has seen them make such a lasting impact on the UK Country music scene.
Recording their debut album, 2014's 'From Where We Stand', whilst still in school, the duo have since cemented themselves as pioneers in the UK Country and Americana scene; not least for the follow-up album 'Cartwheels' released in 2016 going to No. 1 in the UK Album Charts, the first by a UK country act to top the charts.
In 2019, the band were presented with the Country Music Association's Jeff Walker Global Achievement Award in recognition of their success and impact on country music in the UK.
Their fifth studio album, Music In The Madness, released in 2013, showcased the duo's trademark harmony-led sound while continuing their evolution as artists.
