South Norfolk Symphonic Band: 50th Anniversary Concert

Join us on the 28th September to celebrate half a century of music with a powerful performance by band members past and present.

Established in 1974 by Mike Booty, South Norfolk Symphonic Band is a mixed-ability band of over 40 members. The band has raised well over £1 million for various charities through regular concerts and international tours, including Germany, the Far East, Singapore, Borneo and Thailand. Most recently, in 2019, South Norfolk Symphonic Band paid its third visit to Malaysia. Visiting Seremban, Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, the band took part in numerous musical workshops with local schools, as well as charity concerts, including a performance in a 5,000 seat concert hall to raise funds for the Salvation Army, with guests of honour including Malaysian State Officials.

Throughout the band's rich musical history, they have performed twice for HRH Princess Anne, once in the Royal Albert Hall, as well as winning third prize in an International Music Festival in Valkenburg, Holland during one of their European tours. In 2006, South Norfolk Symphonic Band were presented with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

For one night only - don’t miss this unforgettable musical reunion!
