66 × 3.66 m) blackout cloth is a heavy-duty black fabric used in film, TV and photography production to completely block light or create darkened conditions. It’s frequently used on set as a negative fill, backdrop, light-block curtain or to mask unwanted reflections. For example, one supplier lists a “12X12 BLACKOUT (SOLID)” textile ready for hire in film/TV production.
